Weather is crazy

Today the wind is blowing, the snow is melting, the air is nearly warm. The snow on the front lawn is nearly gone and there is a huge puddle out front. Calvin, Bruce and Clark have been outside trying to unclog the drainage ditch, but the warmth hasn't gotten that deep yet. This is our January thaw. It won't last long, but I think it has a purpose, to let us know that there is hope, that winter will not last forever.

There are times I am in winter, when it is cold and dark and deep and I am not sure that I am going to find my way out. And then God gives me that little spring thaw to help me get through the hard times, just enough to strengthen my faith and help me keep going.

Thank you for that thought. I get the winter blues too, and Heavenly Father always knows how to lift me up (even if it only lasts a little while). Thanks for the reminder that winter (and hard times) won't last forever.
