We
had a nice
visit with Thomas and Cynthia in California. I wish we could
have stayed longer, but he had to work and needed his sleep so his ankle can heal. We went to Joe's crab shack and Candy heaven. I went swimming because it was so warm. We went to their ward and were warmly welcomed. Surprisingly I ran into Kevin Starr's older brother who came to assist in giving Thomas a blessing. That was a pleasant shock. I loved looking at all of the oleander bushes that were in bloom. On the way home we went through Lake Tahoe, Carson City, Virginia City and Dayton Nevada. We ate prime rib in Elko and got home late Monday night.

cjmom, I love you!! I read your comments to Foxy Cheetah on her blog. Thank you so much. You were the BEST responder yet!! I knew there were better answers than those given, but I don't have them. I've worried about her post for two days now. I'm LDS and struggle some times, but I know that worrying about polygamy and Joseph Smith's detractors is not going to help my testimony. I tried to study out some of her questions yesterday after church, but I'm not knowledgeable enough in the Gospel to help. I am so thankful that you did try. I think your comments were wonderful. If she tries to find the flaws and falacies in the Church, she will. If she tries to find the truth, I know Heavenly Father will help her. There were people in my former ward in Twin Falls that could answer her, but I don't live there any more and they've moved on too. Elder Brent Nielson is the person who baptized my daughter and my husband and he's in New Zealand as a Seventy now. I know he could help her. There are lots of people who could if she'll listen. I think she's a great young lady who's probably being tested and tempted to question her beliefs. I appreciate your willingness to help. I wish I were as well educated as you in doctrine. I hope she finds the RIGHT answers. I know they are out there.
