Studying my Sunday School lesson
I was studying my lesson yesterday, it is on gaining a testimony of Christ. I think of all the lessons we have had all year, this one is the most important. Unless we come to know Christ we are wasting our time on Earth. And unless we strive to be like him, everything else is vanity. I think pride is the most dangerous thing there is. It keeps us from doing the things we need to do and from becoming who we need to become. It is so easy to fake it, to pretend we aren't who we really are. It is in times of stress that we see our worst selves. Then we can humble ourselves, if we will, and really come unto Christ. When we criticize and fault find, even when they really deserve it, then we are not being like Christ. Our Bishop spoke Sunday and quoted his father who said, "If you get offended when people didn't mean to offend you, you are a fool. If you get offended when they did mean to offend you, you are a bigger fool. Interesting.

Good thoughts. Thank you for sharing.
See Elder Bednard's talk from October 2006 conference. It is all about offense. He said no one can offend you or me. It is a choice to take offense. Very good talk and one that needs to be repeated often, unfortunately.
The world teaches that it is ok to be upset w/someone when it is their fault. The Lord does not teach this. We are to forgive.
