The question is, do we just vote for political celibreties? I mean, the media tells us who is most popular, and then we believe them. I don't think that is constitutional. There has to be a way to check out some of these politicians who are not of "favored media status."

I think the general population seems to, just wait till it's down to three or four candidates and then see whom everyone seems to like the most. I know people will disagree with me about supporting Romney, but it's not because he's 'mormon' but rather because I agree with his stances on issues, and while people flap on about his flip-flopping, I actually find that kind of refreshing, because if you can't admit you made a mistake and change policy to reflect that, then we are left in the same position we're in now with Bush. I do think we're doing good things in this war, yet he went about it in the wrong fashion, especially since every al-queda agent killed is a martyr for their cause and thus a recruiting agent, and not to mention that we're seen as an invading, occupying force by many, rather than as we like to think of ourselves, in a red cross with arms kind of way.
I actually was supporting Huckabee until he started hitting Romney, not on issues, but on his religion and his money. Those are non-issues. He sounded like an 8th grade girl trying who "innocently" says something that is planned to hurt someone else. As soon as he did that I thought, I don't want this immature bigot in the White House.
good for you. Thats half of the reason I didnt want to vote for anyone in the last race, I got so tired of hearing everyone say horrible things to each other.
So far my favorite candidate is Ron Paul. Check him out and see what you think. He's the only one that has a huge following yet he isn't afforded ANY air time. Curious. Great guy tho. I like Mitt Romney too - not positive about a few things but a lot of it sounds really great.
