Sara just called to tell us that President Hinckley passed away today. That is sad and happy. He missed his wife so much and his body was just wearing out. We sure will miss his spirit, his smile, his sense of humor, and his words of wisdom. Isn't it odd, shouldn't the tv stop, shouldn't it devote every second to a prophet dying? Backwards world isn't it.

channel two here did stop and kinda was defensive when people started calling in to complain that they were doing a continuing coverage, and one of the guys said, sorry, but that's just the way it's going to be no matter how many calls we get because it is so important to honor this man
I think it is interesting that of the bloggers I regularly check...Aunt Cathy had a post up at 7:24...Lolo at 9:17 and AnnaBanana at 7:33.
We were at a friends were several 'young' (not sure why I say that since some of us have been married 10+yrs) families were gathered for a weekly dinner we have. It got quiet when someone called in and informed us of his passing. Their was a few tears...then some good memories shared. Everyone stated how happy they were that he had gone home. He has done alot for the people of this world...not to mention the members of the church.
It was a little shocking to hear of his death, but at the same time it was shocking. I guess because he just seemed to be invincible. He will be missed. What a wonderful man!
Laura called me to tell me about it, Kirsten too since we obviously don't hear about it here. What a good man- we will miss him :) We said a prayer for his family last night because no matter how good a person's passing is, you still can't help but miss them.
